Outfit Ideas Christmas 2021

My second Christmas Party Outfit Idea post this season! Feeling desperate to dress up after almost two years of this pandemic.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t wear anything that feels too Over The Top, yet I still want to look and feel glamorous at parties or on special days like Christmas, even if I am staying in.

The fact I like to feel comfortable rules out stiff tailoring or over complicated dresses. It is why I prefer to mix it up - blending casual, low-key items with sequins. Here are some examples:

Outfit #1 Jeans, nice top and glam heels;

This couldn’t be more relaxed. I’ve got some silver glitter boots that I like wearing with straight cut Levi’s and a big balloon sleeve blouse. It’s a cool outfit because it’s not too ‘try-hard’ yet I’ve made an effort.

Metallic or sequin shoes or boots will instantly dress-up black or denim jeans as demonstrated below by the ultimate style icon Sarah Jessica Parker.

Outfit #2 - pretty similar to the first outfit to be honest. I told you I don’t like too much fuss! A glitter sequin or embroidered jacket with black skinny, leather or flared jeans and boots.

Black sequin blazer at Zara

Outfit #3 - Sequin skirt with jumper or blouse. Alright I know, this is not exactly groundbreaking but you know the saying, if it ‘aint broke - don’t fix it. A sequin skirt and a jumper or silk blouse is my all time party favourite. You can wear with heels or some nice black leather sock boots and tights. Zara & Other Stories have black sock boots.

Zara have a range of sequin skirts. If you are a smart dresser - wear with a plain silk blouse.

As well as the top 3 outfits above, I do love a pair of sequin trousers paired with a black blazer too. Preferable silver or gold for me but I have spotted these AMAZING green sequin flared trousers which would look great in dim festive lighting.
